THE LEGEND OF BEAST VOL.1 (live in tokyo) FAN ACCOUNT

head’s up, i’m hyunseung biased an it might show in this post. bb doesn’t get enough love ;____;

aigo.

where do i even start.

IT WAS ABSOLUTELY 100% AMAZING. I MEAN, I KNEW IT WOULD BE GOOD - BUT IT WAS BEYOND MY DREAMS. 本当に信じられなかった.

i had gone to soshi’s showcase in august, and so i was expecting just a short performance of their lead singles - bad girl, shock, soom, and beautiful. BUT WE GOT SO MUCH MORE. MORE SONGS, MORE AEGYO, AND WE GOT TO HIGH-FIVE ALL THE MEMBERS! /DIES

okay. now that i’ve gotten most of my capslock fangirling out of the way, let me tell you how everything went down. i got to tokyo big sight at about 10.30 A.M. i was on my own, because none of my friends like k-pop, but i mean, i wasn’t going to miss beast because of it~

so i got there and went to the hall where they were selling goods to have a look. suddenly a cute japanese girl runs up to me and taps me on the shoulder, and it turns out to be miharu-san, a girl i’ve been talking to on twitter! she was with her friend ka~sa (i only know her by her mixi nickname) and we hung out the rest of the time with two other girls they knew.

for about an hour we sat around, talked, fangirled, all in japanese. it was hard at times for me, but really fun. i mean, fangirling is pretty  much an international language anyway, of 会いた〜い, かっこい〜い, かわい〜い, *insert member or group*がだいすき〜い. ka~sa had a really cute fan with the boys on one side, and junhyung on the other. seriously, people love junhyung here. i’d say he’s the most popular even, or maybe tied with leader. haha, when i told everyone i liked hyunseung the best, ka~sa immediately said ‘aaah! i’m sorry for using that picture of him!’, haha!

oh, and someone brought this huuuuge banner that we could all write messages on. mine is really fail, compared to the girls who came prepared with korean translations! aigo. i even misspelled 'welcome’ in japanese the first time. it’ll be better next time boys, promise!

at around 11.30 ish, we started to shuffle outside for the ~BEAST WELCOME PARTY~, which i originally thought just meant hey, we’re gonna show mvs and you guys can mingle, but no. no no no. we were going outside to welcome the boys as they came flying in by helicopter, standing in the shape of the B2ST logo! we were given posters, one side with a picture from the SHOCK album, and the other was read with the logo in white.

we were in the S-section, and so we had a great view of the screen where they showed the boys video message from the helicopter!

i like to think they were pretty impressed~

maknae and visual maknae were teasing us, going kikoena~i yo!

image

yah! why are you covering my hyunseung with your poster? ;_______;

image

and then it was time to say バイバイ~!

when the welcome was finished, they shuffled us back in, and we went to stand in line to sign up for the ハィタチ event aka the high-five event. let me just take a moment to say it again. I HIGH-FIVED THEM. B2ST. HYUNSEUNGGG. (sorry, biased fan is biased.)

then after some food, we got in line for the goods section again. we got free like, neck towels i guess they’re called? black and white with the logo, plus lightsticks! the lighsticks were sooo pretty during the concert! the line was crazy long, we stood there for a good hour and a half! but they had jigsaw puzzle pictures of the boys on display, and we had to kill time before the concert anyway so…

but yeah, the concert. i can’t even begin to explain how amazingly talented performers these boys are. no, seriously. they all sound incredible, they all put so much into the choreography, and they interact with the audience in an adorable way. it’s honestly one of the best concert experiences i’ve had. extra props for the organizers for having a round stage so that we could all see all the boys!

as an opening act, they brought out G.NA who sang 꺼져줄게 잘 살아 (without junhyung, sadly) and a cover of jojo’s leave. wasn’t expecting that, rather i figured she’d sing supa solo, but she really rocked it. her voice is incredible, and she’s so cute! she got really shy at one point during her little opening speech, and when she was saying goodbye, really cute!

also, during the boys’ halftime costume change, PREPIX came out and danced. wait. let me repeat that. PREPIX. were there. and they danced. it was nothing short of incredible, and i love how tight knit the relationship between cube and them is.

but anyway, BEAST YOU GUYS. SO BEAST!

they started with SHOCK
, which i think was really a great way to get the audience pumped. oh, and remember that rumor that there would be a lion on stage? yeah, well it wasn’t a lion. it was a lion AND a tiger. and now i’m going to make my only critical comment about the show, which is that the animals were completely unnecessarry. they really added nothing to the perfomance, and besides that they were cowering in fear because of all the noise. the boys themselves were flawless, but really i just felt bad about it the entire time. the animals really looked like they were scared beyond their wits…

second song was mystery, mystery, mystery, why~? energy kept growing, and i kept wishing i actually knew how to do the mystery head move, cause you know, it’s awesome.

the rest of the set list was bad girl, 숨, 주먹을 꽉 쥐고, special, oasis, beautiful, and easy. but i’ve forgotten the order of the set list… bad fan is bad. beautiful was last though, and the boys jumped of stage and ran around and oh, the aegyo.

i was sitting in the section assigned to doojoon, and just, gosh he’s gorgeous. and he is really popular in japan, but i mean, who’s surprised? he’s not called the ideal boyfriend for nothing! his stage charisma was great, coupled with the fact that he played around with the audience a lot, waving and smiling at us. also, his favorite japanese phrases is “ogenki desu ka~a?” (he pronounced the ka in a really cute, exagerrated way)

i mentioned in another post, but junhyung is so popular here, i was surprised! i’d go as far as to say he’s the most popular, and everyone i talked to (and overheard) talked about how cool, cute, and handsome he is. most people also agreed that SHOCK era hair was terrible on him, and that the BEAUTIFUL look is his best so far.

yoseob, oh my gosh. the aegyo. the voice. & the japanese. he was the one of the boys who spoke the most japanese, and even though it sounds awkward, he gets an instant A for effort. he kept saying really cute stuff to us, and played around a lot. he said his favorite word was “oyasumi”, good night, and then pretended to fall asleep on stage! and of course, again, his voice. it’s absolutely amazing.

dongwoon is such a greasy flirt, haha. when they asked the boys what their favorite japanese words or phrases were, he said “B2uty minna-san kawaiiii”, that we’re all cute. i think dongwoon is one of the members that gets the least credit for his dancing and singing, but he’s so good, and his stage presence is really the kind where you can’t take your eyes off of him.

gikwang is such a confusing combination of hot and adorable, it doesn’t make sense. when he dances it’s like… well it’s not PG let’s put it like that. but then he turns around and is the most loveable dork you could imagine. geez. he did the 'heart with your arms over your headthing (what do you call that actually) and every one squealed so loudly!

and i saved hyunseung for last, because he’s my bias and… he’s the least popular in japan, just like everywhere else. aigo. he’s so stunning though, i mean, i don’t understand how it’s possible for a guy to be so pretty. and he’s weird, but in a good way, jumping around the stage trying to get us all even more excited than we already were. and his voice, seriously, the guy does not get enough credit for his vocals. he was ad-libbing his way through out the entire concert and it sounded incredible. just, oh. ideal guy is ideal.

after the concert there was the ハィタチ event, which basically meant we all got to high five the boys. for the boys sake, i’m glad it was just high-fiving, because there were surely more than 5000 people waiting in line for the event. somehow, i managed to be one of the first twenty or so. i really have no idea how it happened, but oh my gosh. it was so fun!

yoseob was the first in line, and he was smiling as you’d expect - and then i think it somehow dawned on him that, well, i’m not japanese: rather i’m a pale, blue-eyed, strawberry/orange blonde gaijin, and his expression sort of went from 'hel- oh, wait, HI :D’ and it was all kinds of awesome. then there was dongwoon, who had a similar big smile and slightly surprised expression. and then onto junhyung, who smiled really softly and asdfghjkl;'handsome. and then hyunseung. i mentioned i was biased right? gosh. he’s so gorgeous in person i can’t even. if it wasn’t because they were rushin us down the line, i certainly would have had a fangirl moment. aigo. so perfect. gikwang was his usual ^_______^ and it was so cute. and then leader last, who pretty much had the same reaction as yoseob and kyaaaa he’s so handome.

and there you have it. i’m still in a total state of euphoria. i have some fan cams, but i need to write my english essay now. /cries.

SO BEAST!
