- Tumblr is now a popularity contest, not a blog site.
- People send you anon-hate messages instead of understanding your situation.
- Followers make friends with you not because they really want to but for the sake of that effin’ follow back.
- Some of my friends have Tumblr so I can’t just blog the way I really do.
okay, allow me a moment to rant here and say:
for fuck’s sake, get over yourselves. what gives you more of a right to have a tumblr than your friends? why do so many of you think that you’re more ~artistic~ and ~deeper~ than the people you know in real life? and you know what, if you’re using tumblr to ~express~ yourself or whatever, you should be able to stand for it even if your friends find your tumblr. what does it matter if your friend see what you blog about? it’s part of who you are, isn’t it? if your friends judge for it, then they’re shit friends and you should get new ones - but don’t complain that you can’t blog the way you ~really~ want anymore, because that’s ridiculous. it’s not your friends stopping you, it’s the fact that you yourself don’t have the courage to be yourself in front of them.
also, tumblr is a popularity contest because you make it into a popularity contest - complaining about losing followers and what not. tumblr isn’t more srsbsn than what you make it.
